HAZARDOUS WASTE DROP OFF SITES
Waukesha County has contracted with two privately-owned and
operated collection facilities. Each will accept hazardous waste
from county residents on a regular schedule.
Menomonee Falls:

Waukesha:
City Incinerator Building
900 Sentry Drive (North of Sunset Dr., East of the Fox River)
Hours: 2nd & 4th Saturdays, 8am-4pm
Acceptable Wastes:
Acids; antifreeze (used); bug spray/insecticides; carburetor cleaner;
cleaning solvents; chemicals (hobby/photo); concrete cleaner;
degreasers; fertilizer with weed killer; furniture stripper, gasoline;
kerosene; lighter fluid; lacquers; lead paint; mercury thermometers,
oil-based paint, paint thinner, pool chemicals; poisons,
polish with solvents; spot remover; weed killer; wood preservatives.
Unacceptable Wastes:
Ammunition/explosives (call Sheriffs Dept. 896-8168);
empty containers; household batteries; household cleaning products,
latex paint (call 896-8016 for Paint Disposal Guide); medicines;
personal care products; putty, grout, caulk, glaze, spackle;
radioactive materials; rechargeable batteries.
The Product Exchange Program at both facilities allows residents
to take useable materials such as automotive products, oil-based
paints and stains; lawn, garden and other household products at
no charge. Quantities and types of materials available will vary
from day to day. You will be required to sign a
Liability Waiver and Release form.
